Overview

Rangamati is calling everyone with its perennial forest, thrilling drives through hills and dales, blue waters of Kaptai Lake, colourful tribal life and culture, attractive handicrafts, and artisans beckoning you to a world of panoramic beauty that Mother Nature has so lavishly unfolded.
The township is located on the western bank of Kaptai Lake. Rangamati is a favourite holiday resort because of its beautiful landscape, scenic beauty, lake, and colourful tribes. Its flora and fauna, tribal museum, hanging bridge, home-spun textile products, ivory jewellery and the tribal man and woman who fashion them are all must-sees.

There is a variety of hotels and cottages in this town.

Fishing, speed-boat cruising, and bathing in the Kaptai Lake are exciting experiences.

Quick Tips:
Foreigners will have to report to the nearest police station when they would like to visit any of the three hill districts (Rangamati, Khagrachari, or Bandarban) of Bangladesh.
Best Way To Get Around:
Rangamati town is 337 kilometers from Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, and 77km from Chittagong, the second-largest city of Bangladesh. Buses/coaches are available from Chittagong city to Rangamati. Chittagong is linked with Dhaka by road, rail, and air.
